Our Services
At Eastside Future Sports, we deliver a range of programmes designed to support both young athletes and coaches. Through our school partnerships, we provide after-school basketball and multi-sport sessions that help students develop skills, teamwork and confidence in a positive environment.
Our holiday camps give young people the opportunity to build their basketball fundamentals during school breaks, with sessions led by experienced coaches Charles Vuong and Jason Odei. Alongside this, our coach development programme supports aspiring coaches by helping them improve their practice, gain experience and progress within the sport.

Eastside School Partnerships
coach development
Eastside Basketball is proud to deliver a Coach Development Programme in partnership with the NBA’s London Coaches Programme, designed to support and develop the next generation of basketball coaches. Whether you are just starting out or looking to take the next step in your coaching journey, the programme offers practical experience, mentorship and guidance within a real grassroots setting.
Mentorship:
Coaches on the programme are mentored by Coach Charles Vuong, an experienced coach and educator whose background includes Basketball England’s London Teacher of the Year (2022) and England Under-14 Head Coach. Through ongoing support and one-to-one guidance, Charles shares his coaching philosophy, leadership approach and practical insight to help coaches build confidence and develop their own coaching identity.
Shadowing and Hands-On Coaching:
Participants also gain hands-on experience by shadowing and assisting during weekly sessions and events. This allows coaches to observe live coaching environments, understand session planning, manage groups effectively and learn how to design drills that support player development. These experiences help bridge the gap between theory and real-world coaching.
Coaching Qualifications and Upskilling:
Alongside practical experience, Eastside supports coaches in progressing their formal qualifications. We provide guidance around coaching pathways and certification, including Basketball England Level 1 and Level 2 courses, and have already supported young coaches through their first qualifications. Our aim is to help coaches grow with confidence and clarity, building the skills needed to succeed at grassroots level and beyond.
